Anne Fox, BA
Annie joined NEDFYS in January of 2021 as an intern. During that time, she worked at the Glendale Heights Police Department following up on domestic violence reports and mental health crises. Annie served as counselor, crisis worker, and did case management, connecting residents with meeting their needs of different services and resources.
As intern coordinator, Annie oversees the internship program and quality assurance. She also assists with the facilitation of adolescent group programming and is a part of the crisis intervention team.
Since 2012, Annie has volunteered with Pillars Community Health as a hospital rape victims’ advocate and provided crisis response on the sexual violence hotline. She has also volunteered with campaigns for local congressional races. Annie is working towards her master’s in social work at Aurora University with a special focus on forensic social work and child welfare. She is passionate about trauma and crisis intervention and looks forward to a long career working towards a more just and equitable society.
Fun fact: Annie and her husband like to combine their two favorite activities – traveling and watching baseball – and have been to 24 of 30 Major League Baseball stadiums so far. She is an avid White Sox fan and dog mom to two mischievous rescue pups.
