CLINICAL SUPPORT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services (NEDFYS) is a not-for-profit social service agency which provides services and programs to address the various mental health needs of residents in DuPage County.  NEDFYS serves primarily under-resourced residents through individual counseling services, partners with other community agencies and schools to provide mental health groups for adolescents and provides crisis intervention services in conjunction with area police departments. 

NEDFYS is now hiring for the position of Clinical Support Services Coordinator (30-35 hours/week).

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer office phone to assist callers in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner

  • Answer questions from potential clients and community partners about NEDFYS programs and services

  • Reach out to victims of domestic violence to engage them in counseling and/or case management services

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for intakes and walk-in clients at the administrative office currently located in the Addison Police Department

  • Complete the intake process and paperwork for new clients per agency guidelines, including gathering new client information, maintaining accurate records of client communication, and verifying agency funding sources based on client demographics

  • Liaison with NEDFYS clinical staff from other offices in DuPage County to manage client caseloads

  • Review police reports and other client referrals to make decisions on appropriate levels of clinical or case management services

  • Work on a daily basis with police officers, school administrators and staff, and community residents to ensure seamless and responsive service provision

  • Work with the clinical team to appropriately schedule new client appointments with a focus on matching clients with clinicians’ areas of expertise and geographic service area

  • Utilize an electronic health record system to schedule appointments and upload client documentation

  • Utilize electronic health record to generate client-level and aggregate service reports on a regular basis

  • Perform human resources related tasks, such as assisting new employees complete agency paperwork and communicating with the Illinois Department of Human Services to maintain compliance with personnel related licensing requirements

  • Perform clerical work such as filing, scanning, copying, and printing

  • Assist the Executive Director, Associate Director, and Clinical Services Manager with administrative related tasks

  • Utilize automated system to enter employee payroll and reimbursements on a bi-weekly basis

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Position reports to the Executive and Associate Directors

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Some clinical experience or experience working in a clinical/medical setting strongly preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills and ability to utilize electronic health record system

  • Proficiency in Excel A MUST

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic solutions to ensure efficiency of intake process, service delivery, and client data management

  • Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Outgoing, friendly, and professional

  • Bilingual (Spanish) a PLUS

  • Knowledge of insurance and managed care for behavioral health a PLUS

  • Compensation:

       $25-$30/hour depending on experience (approximately 30-35 hours/week)
