Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services (NEDFYS) is a not-for-profit social service agency which provides services and programs to address the various mental health needs of residents in DuPage County. NEDFYS serves primarily under-resourced residents through individual counseling services, partners with other community agencies and schools to provide mental health groups for adolescents and provides youth crisis intervention services in conjunction with area police departments.

NEDFYS is now hiring for the position of Lead Clinician-Bilingual. Fluency in Spanish and full clinical licensure (e.g. LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) is required for this position.


The Lead Clinician position will provide oversight/supervision of clinical services and programs and participate in strategic planning and program development. The Lead Clinician will also provide direct clinical services (individual, group, family) to primarily Spanish speaking clients. A caseload may include court-involved youth, at-risk youth in alternative school settings, and youth, parents/guardians and families referred to NEDFYS by public elementary, middle- and high-schools and other community partners. Therapy services may include family treatment with high-risk adolescents, in addition to individual and couples’ treatment.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provision of clinical therapy services to individuals, couples, and families

  • Oversee clinical operations and services in area police departments and communities

  • Supervision clinical staff and interns

  • Facilitation of mental health groups related to trauma, anger management, and juvenile justice diversion programming

  • Program oversight and implementation including all associated documentation and reporting requirements 

  • Conduct home visits to provide services to clients, when necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and full licensure (e.g. LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)

  • 3+ years of experience working with high-risk adolescents and families

  • Clinical supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Advanced training in trauma treatment modalities, preferred

  • Bilingual (Spanish) REQUIRED

  • Reliable transportation for off-site work at schools, in homes, and other community-based settings

  • Compensation

       $32.00 - $35.00/hour depending on experience (approximately 20-35 hours per week depending on availability and

       desired schedule)
