Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services (NEDFYS) is a not-for-profit social service agency working with local police departments, schools, and other community partners to provide low-cost, high-quality community-based social services to residents of DuPage County. NEDFYS serves under-resourced residents through individual counseling services, partners with other community agencies and schools to provide mental health groups for adolescents and provides crisis intervention services in conjunction with area police departments.

NEDFYS is now hiring for the position of Senior Clinician (Part-time; days and evenings). The Senior Clinician position will provide direct clinical services (individual, group, family) to clients. The Senior Clinician’s caseload may include court-involved youth, at-risk youth in alternative school settings, and youth, parents/guardians and families referred to NEDFYS by public elementary, middle- and high-schools and other community partners. Therapy services may include family treatment with high-risk adolescents, in addition to individual and couples’ treatment.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clinical therapy services to individuals, couples, and families

  • Facilitation of mental health groups related to trauma, anger management, and juvenile justice diversion programming

  • Program oversight and implementation including all associated documentation and reporting requirements 

  • Conduct home visits to provide services to clients, when necessary

  • Supervise clinical staff and interns

  • Develop and provide training to clinical staff and interns

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and full licensure REQUIRED (e.g., LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)

  • 5+ years of experience working with high-risk adolescents and families

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Advanced training in trauma treatment modalities, preferred

  • Reliable transportation for off-site work at schools, in homes, and other community-based settings

Desired Qualifications:

  • Counseling Certification, Marriage and Family Therapy Certification, and/or Social Work License
