Emily Garmager, MSW

Affiliated Therapist

Emily joined the NEDFYS team as a clinical intern in 2024 and transitioned to a therapist in 2025. During her time with NEDFYS, Emily has assisted with the facilitation of Redirect, one of our therapeutic diversion groups and provided counseling services to youth referred through the juvenile justice system. Emily currently provides individual therapy to children and adolescents.

In addition to her therapist role at NEDFYS, Emily is the youth program supervisor at Access Living, a Center for Independent Living which serves Chicago residents with disabilities. In her role, she supervises several youth programs that prepare students with disabilities for their transition out of high school and empower them to become leaders within the disability community.
