Jaclyn LaPorte, LCPC
Clinical Services Manager
Jaclyn joined NEDFYS in 2009 after interning with the agency. Currently, Jaclyn supervises and facilitates NEDFYS' juvenile justice programs including; G3, Step-up, SPARCS, and Station Adjustment. She works with DuPage County Juvenile Probation and other community partners to coordinate group services to adolescents in the juvenile justice system. Jaclyn is also responsible for supervising staff and coordinating the NEDFYS' internship program.
Jaclyn finds it rewarding to support youth and help them lead healthier lives by providing them with the decision-making skills to stay out of detention, stay in school, eliminate substance abuse, and enjoy better family relationships. “I work with a lot of youth from different backgrounds, family dynamics, and environments,” she explains. “Some youth don’t have trustworthy connections and I enjoy being someone whom they can connect with.”
Fun facts: Jaclyn enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with family. While an honors student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she received a full scholarship for gymnastics and then coached high school gymnastics for 15 years!
