Lissa Landini, MSW
Counselor
Lissa works at our Addison office where she provides counseling and case management services for individuals and families. Lissa worked as an intern with NEDFYS providing counseling and case management services and joined our staff to continue working with her clients. Prior to her work with NEDFYS, Lissa was an intern for Thersholds where she assisted clients with organizing their medication, transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, budgeting, functioned as their payee, and monitored their mental and physical health.
Lissa continues to work as a nurse, and has been in this role for seven years. Lissa's nursing experience includes working in the ICU, Inpatient Psychiatric Units for adolescents and adults, and the Medical Floor. Lissa has experience working with individuals with a wide range of mental health symptoms including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, psychosis, mania, hallucinating, and catatonia. Lissa also has experience working in a Voluntary Inpatient Substance Use Treatment program where she assisted individuals in their recovery from challenges with substance use and their journey to recovery.
Lissa believes that her personal and professional experiences have prepared her to be a better, more prepared counselor, and she is looking forward to learning something new everyday in her role with NEDFYS.
Fun Fact: During her own mental health journey, Lissa began rock climbing and absolutely loved it! She feels it is a great workout and that the rock climbing community is incredibly supportive of one another which encouraged her to continue with the sport.
