Felicia Acosta, LSW
Police Social Worker
Felicia works as a NEDFYS counselor out of Woodridge Police Department, providing counseling and case management services for individuals, couples, and families. Prior to joining the NEDFYS team, Felicia had several years of community, youth advocacy and supporting youth through the Justice system as well as some experience in the geriatric population. Felicia has worked with youth as an advocate in the juvenile justice system, provided groups for youth who are given in-school detention level supervision, and provided tutoring and mentoring for youth at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles.
Felicia has served on the associate board with Advancing Domestic Peace in Chicago and has conducted research with United Way of Will County. Felicia has past experience volunteering at food pantries and conducting webinars for the local community focusing on the education of depression and anxiety during the pandemic.
Fun fact: Felicia was on a TV Car Show with her family. She loves to travel and bake!
